Patrimonio Binacional · Estate & Succession

One family. Two countries.
One plan.

Property in Mexico, accounts in the United States, heirs on both sides — without a coordinated plan, the two systems can work against each other. We bring your binational patrimony into a single, deliberate strategy.

The Path

How we navigate it

Step One
Map Both Systems

We inventory your assets, structures, and beneficiaries across Mexico and the United States to see the full picture — often for the first time, all in one place.

Step Two
The Right Structures

Fideicomiso, wills, and succession planning, coordinated with qualified counsel so the documents in both countries point the same direction.

Step Three
A Coordinated Plan

We also examine the U.S.–Mexico Totalization Agreement, which can let you combine work credits from both countries toward a pension.

The Gap

Without a plan, two systems work against each other.

A home in Mexico held in a fideicomiso, retirement built across two countries, children who are citizens of different nations — each piece follows different rules. Left uncoordinated, that is exactly where value and time are lost.

We make the pieces follow one plan, so nothing falls into the gap between two jurisdictions, and your family is protected on both sides.

“Protegemos lo que has construido — en ambos lados.”

Client Stories

Results that change everything

For over twenty years I was stuck. A friend told me about Krear and I figured — why not try one more time. Their team knew exactly what to do, stayed with me through every step, and made it happen. Now I'm holding my Mexican passport and my INE.

Your questions, without the noise.

General guidance only — we coordinate the strategy and work alongside qualified attorneys and tax professionals in both countries.

Structures
What is a fideicomiso, and do I need one?
A fideicomiso is a bank trust commonly used by foreigners to hold property in Mexico's restricted zones. Whether you need one depends on the property and your status — we assess and coordinate it.
Will a single will cover both countries?
Often not cleanly. Assets in each country may need coordinated documents so they don't conflict or trigger delays. We align them with qualified counsel on both sides.
Can my heirs inherit across both countries?
Yes, with planning. Cross-border inheritance follows different rules in each system; coordination is what prevents costly gaps and disputes later.
Pensions & Benefits
What is the Totalization Agreement?
The U.S.–Mexico Totalization Agreement can let you combine work credits earned in both countries toward a pension. We examine whether and how it applies to your history.
Working With Krear
Do you replace my lawyer or accountant?
No. We coordinate the overall strategy and work alongside qualified attorneys and tax professionals in both countries — we are advisors, not a law or tax firm.
Where do we start?
With a full inventory of your assets, structures, and beneficiaries across both countries — frequently the first time everything is seen together in one plan.
